About BB

Although we were not founded a century ago like many of the trusted, prestigious voices in business news, Brookfield Brief is building a voice of objective journalism that can withstand the test of time.  We live in an incredibly exciting - yet daunting - moment in history. With rapid economic shifts taking place at an unprecedented speed and scale, it has become increasingly difficult to sort through the vast myriad of different voices in today’s media and provide individuals with the best information that is relevant to them.

Founded in 2020, Brookfield Brief gets its name from the development “Brookfield Place”, across from the World Trade Center. Its namesake is a satirical homage to the 1990’s - a time where colleagues in finance would often go across West Street to the waterfront and compare notes regarding impending market changes.

Brookfield Brief was created with a mission to take the most relevant stories in business, finance, and tech and deliver it with the most pertinent information and relevant context through curated & original content directly to your inbox, while also helping readers to identify prevailing market sentiments across sectors of coverage.
