There is another expected merger within the medical industry as Baxter International is in talks with Hill-Rom Holdings to purchase the company for $9 billion.
Hill-Rom is valued at $150 with the total value of the company reaching around $9 Billion, Baxter International is valued at $144 a share with their total valuation reaching $37 Billion.
Baxter International primarily focuses on surgical and critical care products where Hill-Rom focuses on hospital beds and patient-monitoring devices. The deal has not been solidified and will take some time to reach its final stages. The deal is unlikely to fall through, but the possibility remains.
