Last month Brookfield Brief reported that Apple is looking to move a significant portion of its manufacturing to India. Now, as of Friday, the company has listed numerous job openings pertaining to retail positions for the Company’s new flagship location within the country.
Apple has yet to comment on the matter, however, numerous employees have come out and announced their new roles and the developing stores. The sheer number of job listings also shows that Apple has intentions for numerous locations around the country.
Apple stores throughout India have been a long time coming, but there are regulations within the country that require foreign companies that sell products directly to customers must source at least 30% of the components locally. Fortunately, Apple's shift of manufacturing out of China and into India has now provided Apple with the opportunity to expand its storefront.
